The Houston Alumni and Youth (HAY) Center offers housing and support services for youths aging out of foster care. Arch-Con’s scope of work involves a 45,963-square-foot underground detention system and two ground-up buildings. The 17,349-square-foot support services building includes offices, meeting rooms, a computer lab and life skills training rooms. The 43,188-square-foot residential building includes 50 apartment units with a community space, kitchen, gym, business center and private study rooms. The development is designed by Gensler to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
